Who Too?
If you know who Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, and Steve Lillywhite are, then you will probably be pretty psyched about this!

NSLogOnce
Here's my new feature request:
NSLogOnce(@"Blah Blah Blah");
When you just want to see something announced one time! Wouldnt this make the world a better place?

Xcode : CodeSign Error ?!?
Tried to build my app, saw this:
WTF?
Turns out when your iPhone (or iTouch) is plugged in, Xcode looks for your Apple Developer Certificate...
Unplug your iPhone. Restart Xcode. All is well.
CodeSign error: no certificate found in keychain for code signing identity 'iPhone Developer'

For Better or Worse
If you are better than me at everything, then I am better than you at being worse.
Objective-C . WTF? (Part II)
Who decided that this...
NSLog(@"Where is %@ hiding?", myVariable);
...was better than this?
NSLog("Where is $myVariable hiding?");
(NOTE: Hey! Dont complain about wanting a dollar sign in your string! Use a back slash! And dont tell me there isnt a better workaround for that first @ symbol...)

Quote
With the silliest pride I will tell you that I said this earlier tonight to my daughter:
"Do you want to wear your pretty princess cupcake pajamas? Or your pretty pink flowers princess pajamas?"
And yes, I used my high-octave-talking-softly-to-my-daughter voice.

Xcode . Undo
Does Xcode ask you if you are totally, completely, and entirely sure that you want to undo the changes that you so wisely saved? Do you want Xcode to stop? Do this:
01) Open Terminal
02) Paste the Following:
defaults write com.apple.Xcode XCShowUndoPastSaveWarning NO
03) Quit Xcode (and Terminal!)
04) Open Xcode
Rock on!

Delete x 2
I just opened up my email and was overwhelmed by the spam and junk. I spent five minutes just shredding and deleting email after email... thinking wtf?!?... then realized that last night, after looking in my trash folder for something, I didnt switch back to my inbox. So I just spent five minutes deleting the emails I had deleted last night. And I'm an expert.

Lawsuit!
I was just informed by a friend that my name is on the IMDB as a composer for Friendly Fire, a documentary film score I did a couple years ago.
They list me as Brian Tobin instead of Brian WF Tobin... they left out my WF! I am going to sue the pants off of those jackanapes!

SFSG
So far so good! Lotsa downloads! Setting up SNOCAP and MININOVA tonight... oh, and I set up TUNECORE the other day, but the wait time for iTunes is at least a month!
PS+ Snocap's upload script looks nice but is causing fits on safari. "A script is making Safari unresponsive. Do you want to continue running the script, or stop it?" I keep hitting continue and the uploads roll on...

3, 2, 1...
I launch today. I stayed up all night working on the database stuff (PHP/MySQL), and I think I added in about 35 more if/then's than I thought I'd need. I think I'll be able to track the numbers regarding the "Pay What You Want" model, and hopefully the whole thing will operate smoothly.

5 Digit Mixing/Mastering Tools
I listened to the Final Mix in three different cars. 2005 Honda Odyssey, 2005 Ford Focus, 2005 Kia Spectra. I was amazed at how different things sounded in each one. Certain sounds (like snares) would be 10x louder in one car, but in the next the bass would be overpowering. I took copious notes, tweaked each song, then went back to listen again.
I did this about 10x. My lady told me I'd never be finished and there'd always be something else to fix.
She was right. I listened to a song by Interpol in the Honda, and I could barely hear the vocals, which sounded normal on iTunes. After that, I felt better about the inconsistency. This music wasnt made for car stereos anyway! These songs (on headphones preferably!) are more of a background for PHP/MySQL programming, painting, or playing chess.
